A BBB works fine for us over night but sometimes requires a bit of boosting.
Have you tried fleece covers if you don't have any wool? I started our night nappy journey with fleece covers which worked excellent . Now I use wool which I love. We use VBSN's most of the time. It can all be trial and error really.

As for extra boosting, what can you suggest?
I have a small hemp BBH booster, a few microfibre boosters. I also use and love pockets so have many inserts, Swaddlebees and gk. Should I boost in between the BBB and Sugar peas wool cover? Thanks

You could boost between the cover and nappy and the BBh booster should be fine.

It will depend on how big a wetter your bub is...
![]() I can use a BBB overnight on my 17mth old without any extra boosting...just the wool cover with no leaks.

Hey Lisa
I use a BBB on Marty with a microfibre booster between the nappy and the BB wool cover. Works a treat!

You may have to trial a few different things to find what works. Sometimes they may not wet through and then other times they are soaking. We use VBSNs and they a good fit and do the job nicely teamed with wool covers.
I couldnt imagine using a BBB, sometimes Will sleeps in his for a two hour day sleep and its completely saturated - heavy wetter alert! Your initial idea sounds great and dont be afraid to experiment to find what works - be sure to have spare sheets on standby lol!

Hi there!,
Happy birthday to the punk above! I have a 19mo girl who manages with a Bubba J boosted overnight which is similar to a BBH, and I would consider her a heavy wetter. As has already been said though, some night lots of wee, some nights not so much, so don't go on one night's effort. Also I suspect that on the hot summer nights the wees from early in the night are drying off a bit. Anyway, I suggest overboosting if you have a cover big enough, to begin with, then back off as experience indicates. This should mean less wet sheets etc. I haven't had a damp or wet bed in a year with cloth at night, but early on when before my DD was mobile (ie in one spot all night) and I was using fleece I had a couple of damp occasions. What I use: Bubba J hemp (has an inside the nappy booster) plus two three layer thick boosters inside, two plus a half length one outside. In addition I put a folded microfibre cloth (from the supermarket cleaning section, just a plain yellow one, square folded twice) between the liner and first booster. My liner is a crepe/muslin one as this is less likely to repel if I use creams. Over all that we put on a wool flannel Bubba J wool cover (the old large, as the new large is now too small for solid build and chubby legs!!). If you have trouble getting a wool cover big enough, with a mobile child, I'd go for a very large fleece cover. I found with fleece in the past, that a tight cover is more prone to dampness, so big is best. Have fun experimenting.
