I would have thought that trim nappies would not suit a toddler at night because at night you need the most absorbancy - add to that toddlers do big wee's. Trim fitting nappies obviously have less fabric in crotch and thus less absorbant and would seem rather contrary to whats required??

Trim doesn't always mean less absorbancy. It still depends on what makes up the nappy.

Lis, if the SB's are fitting well, maybe try a OV fitted pocket, stuffed to her requirement - with a girly loveybums/knitted or fleece cover?

if youre talking about two nappies with the same makeup, then the trim version will be less absorbant. There is only so much hemp/microfibre or bamboo that you could have in a trim nappy without it being bulky looking - a wider fitting crotch nappy could have more weight than the same trim style without being bulky (thick) looking.
