Default What cover for a VBSN?

Hi all,

I am just about to make my own version of a VBSN from the Goodness Gracious nappy pattern, but don't know what covers to use . I have only ever used homemade fleece covers, would a wool cover/soaker be a better option for this type of nappy?

Also can you please tell me where to buy a good wool soaker or where to find a good free soaker pattern. My MIL can knit

Any advice will be greatly appreciated!!

Regards,

We used fleece covers for a long time over our VBSN's but no we use wool at night all the time.

i see Nappy Chappies on ozebaby have some nice shorties/soakers there for a good price.

Look under knitting here and there is a sticky with patterns for you.

Thanks for that, I just saw some treads for patterns in the knitting section.

Will see what I can find.

We use a Bubba J wool cover or a Tots Bots fleece cover over our VBSN. Both work fine although wool is probably slightly better.

wool is our preference.

I just bought a great pair of shorties from Sustainable Hemp (found them on the nappy hunt). And they came SUPER quick!!!! and are adorable- i had a bee knitted on the bum- very cute

I like the large Bummis PUL cover over the VBSN on my 2.5yo

We normally use either wool covers or soakers but when they were all wet (I dont have as many as some lol) I have used Bummis covers and they work just as well. But I prefer wool too!

I always use a wool soaker or longies with my VBSN and Sandman. None of my other covers are big enough. They work well together.
