i always went for last all night becausee nappy changes were far too stimulating for all my kids and i could never get them back to sleep.

I prefer a last all night nappy but we went through a patch from about 1year to 16months where Flynn would wake up absolutely drenched and thirsty and needed feeding and changing. This was the same time as getting teeth so that seemed to be the problem,
This was a constant battle for ages but now things have settled down we are back to a 12hours night nappy. I think it would depend on the individual child and I figure if you are getting up to feed anyway (not sure if you are ) but you may as well change.

If I was going them a feed I'd change the nappy, otherwise I go with the 'let sleeping bubs lie"..... except now we're trying to night train Tahlia.... we have to wake her at midnight (err.. that's now!) or she's wet by morning.... poor thing HATES being woken up.... she just wants to go back to bed.

I've always gone for the "last all night" nappy with all mine. Even as newborns, my girls have rarely pooed at night so the only time I changed them at night is when they were really small and I wanted them awake enough to have a decent feed.

At the moment I change my baby before I get into bed, then snuggle down together for sleep for the rest of the night. Being such a boobie fiend as he is, if I didn't wake up in a puddle :-/
My older son (2y.o) goes through the whole night in the one nappy. |

I used to change Mischa's nappy in the middle of the night because nothing seemed to contain all the wee! umm, i think i complained about it here
![]() Now we usually go through the night with just the one nappy, but as we co-sleep I can usually tell if she really needs to be changed. And the incentive is there given that the alternative is taht we all sleep in the wet bed Even if I wake her slightly while I'm doing it, I can nurse her back to sleep pretty quicklyeta: this morning was the first time ever that mischa woke up with a completely dry nappy! and it wasn't even a night nappy - i just couldn't see the point in changing her into a night nappy when the one on her bum was dry.

if he's wet, i change him.
most bub's don't wee when they're asleep, so most times he's still dry when he wakes up in the morning, and then the first morning wee either gets changed straight away or (if he's feeling co-operative) goes in the potty. younger bubs who wake more are less likely to get through the night in one nappy because they are more likely to wee when they wake/disturb. hth!

If she wakes up for feed I will normally change her. But otherwise I try to use a night nappy that last all night long. I have noticed that when she does sleep through without a nappy change, the nappy is drenched but her bottom is dry
