Have you tried using a nappies without stay dry linings to see if it helps clear up? I know alot of babies get rash with microfleece/suedecloth linings, my DD is one of them so we are getting rid of her nappies with these inners. Maybe give that a go and see if it helps and change very often too.

OOps forgot to add it only happens over night really well it still there during the days but nit as flared/red, he been naked a fair bit just to get air to the area. Think cause the nappy be on for so long i guess?

yep i was going to suggest a nice big raw silk liner,, one that hangs right over the edges so it covers where the elastic sits against his skin also
