To answer bilby's q about what will I do now, at least I have another bub due in a couple of months, so will be back into nappies then, but for the meantime, I still come here for other parenting, household, and sewing advice

Chelsea was 2 in July last year Theresa so she is a fair bit older than Georgie. I was beginning to think she was going to take forever to TT because she hadn't shown any interest in it at all & was completely happy wearing nappies.

I can't speak for everyone obviously, but I'll be sticking around a while longer yet I've made lots of wonderful friends through NC & I mostly come here for the general threads now anyway. I haven't really followed any of the nappy related threads, except maybe the Hyena Den, for a long time.

Abbi was the same I think once they get it they really get it and each of them do it when they are ready

WTG Chelsea It must be the week for it - Maia has refused to wear a nappy to bed the last three nights and wore undies all day yesterday. It was a bit harder today cos we have been out all day, but we shall see what happens on the weekend. Very much looking forward to not having to wash gross toddler poo off nappies

i was really heartened to read in your post Melissa, that for a long time, Chels showed NO interest in the potty. We've had a potty for bilby for months, the dream was to part time EC her (sigh) and whether clothed or not, to get her to sit on it, induces glass shattering screams!

esp when she wakes up dry, i thought it would be great to have her sit on the potty and discover what weeing OUT of a nappy is about. that WAS the plan.

so to hear you say that Chels also wasn't interested in potty for ages, has given me hope!

This "gross toddler poo" has got me a bit worried. we are having such a time of getting bilby to swallow anything more than purees and mash, i think even for her age, we're not seeing the type of nappy contents, other parents of 16 month olds are. No solid formed masses i mean. i guess this is yet another one of the many many things "she'll do it in her own time" thingos.
