Flynn has been TT for 2months which i think is the road to success really. I was able to trust that when we went out he would ask for the toilet or take himself there if he knew where it was.
One the weekend he got sick on saturday with just the spews but since then i think he has asked to go to the toilet once or twice. Such a disaster. I don't want to put him back in nappies cause he knows what to do and can do it. We are missing an outing this morning cause yesterday after weeing on our favourtie coffee shop chairs i'm not game to trust him in the library for reading time. Sounds like I am stressing but I'm not really just don't want to give him mixed messages by putting him in a nappy cause it suits me when we need to go out. What can I do ?

I agree with pp.
Av is the same. He has his moments where he misses esp when tired or unwell. And he is very unwell atm. Hubby suggested to go back to nappies but after months of being in undies I don't think that sends the right message. |

My DS regressed also after being in jocks for a few months. I did try to leave him in jocks, then tried putting in a small bamboo booster, but after lots of puddles and over a month of 'riding it out', I have had to go back to nappies when we are out. I still just use a booster in his jocks at home though, he doesn't seem to care anymore
![]() I think you will just need to see how he goes for a little while, but you can't stay home forever

I had a similar thing happen with my DD, it started a couple of weeks after DS was born.
I know how frustrating it is and embarrassing it can be when you are out! Most people are pretty understanding though. I always took a couple of spare pants and knickers for her when we went out and made sure she had plenty of opportunities to go to the toilet. Could you take him to the toilet and just ask him to try every 40 mins or so? When I did this with DD sometimes she would say no, she doesn't want to but I'd just ask her to relax and try and she nearly always went. I agree about not going back to nappies unless you are both getting really stressed about it or if its a special occassion. |

Do you have any pullups? Or training pants? I have also tried the booster in the undies thing, it's sometimes helpful.
DS did a big runny poo the other day in the toilet, and afterwards he asked if he could put a nappy on instead of undies. I didn't want to make a big thing of it, so he wore a nappy that day (and stayed dry). I figured he just felt a big yucky after the poo and remembered that wearing nappies was easier. But I'm a bit worried he might regress! So far so good with us though, as he didn't protest the undies this morning.. Hopefully this is just a little hiccup for Flynn after being sick.

Well we have been slowly getting back on track but he wee'd in the chemist this morning , great HUH.
We had an incident with a BIG CAT last week too which has made him frightened to go out to our bathroom which is just off the house. Oh the joys of it all.

Hugs Rebecca. It's frustrating but I'm sure he'll be on track soon.
I've found the Blueberry training pants to be fantastic and I still get Isabel to go to the toilet more than she asks to go which helps avoid accidents.
