Which training pants?

Imo, you have to carry on with the same at day care as you do at home & vice versa.
For example, if you have Becky in knickers or trainers at home, but then have her in nappies at Day Care, she's going to get confused & the whole tt message is not going to get through.
I don't think 'waiting until she's confident at home' is going to work if she's going to day care in nappies - she's going to get mixed signals. You are either trying to toilet train her, or you aren't - little ones have the memory of a pea, so it has to be enforced .
Talk it through with her group leader, they are sooooo experienced with this & can give you some great tips as well.

I agree that if you don't want day care to have huge puddles, the One Wet Pants from Noonee Wilga are great, as they catch the bulk of the wee and just make it easier.
I my opinion the issue of confusion between home strategies and day care strategies varies from child to child - some would be fine with it, others confused. It might depend on how motivated they are to being a big girl in pants or whether they are just considering being a big girl and only want to "consider' in the security of home or whether toilet training is more adults training little one in which case same strategy needed at all times! I reckon it needs to be a decision by the parents/carers who know the personality and learning style of the little one.
Training pants have been very helpful for our girls, but their use is very dependent on the specific training circumstances - not everyone needs them, my guess is that day care centres don't generally use them, they are happy to clean up puddles!

Thanks Bec & Sheree for great advice I'm still not sure what to do when she's at daycare. Heck, I'm still not sure what to do at home It's been only once that she wee'd in the potty so I still have to wait and see where she's going. This morning I asked if she wanted to wear a nappy and she said no, s out came the potty in the lounge, we'll see if she'll wee in it again

We use Bumwear pull-ups or KMart towelling undies at home on Jools (2yo) but have to send disposable pullups to childcare. They're fairly cloth-friendly for nappies in the baby room, but can't cope with toilet training kids in undies until they're mostly accident-free. I got sick of the cloth undies being thrown out when they were pooped on.
