Default Pants for TT'ing

oh the dilemma I wasn't expecting Now that Becky is starting to TT nicely, most of our pants are too big for her tiny tush We still have about 3-4 pairs size 1 leggings that fit her but I have given away lots of small pants to St. Vinnies a while ago

Bonds size 1 leggings fit quite nicely over undies but the length is a tad short. Some size 2 Target leggings fit but not as nice, the length is good though. Anyway, just to give you an idea what fits and what doesn't

I can't sew so can't add an elastic to the pants we have Legwarmers aren't an option either because Becky doesn't like them.

Can someone please suggest what brands/types of pants will solve this problem? I bought a 2nd handed Pumpkin Patch size 2 jeans off ebay thinking they should be small cut, but my goodness they're huge! Won't even fit over cloth nappies!

Hmmm, I hope you find something. When I TT Jaidan I had so many problems (still do) getting pants that stay up as he has no bum!!
I can say that once she is confident in toileting that braces work a treat
Good luck!

Size 2s in commercial are designed for over nappies, you'll often find size 3 pants in brands like Pumpkin Patch and Target are actually smaller around the hips area than size 2s. Look for adjustable waists, that way it doesn't matter if they're a little baggy around the butt. The fit will invariably depend on the style too, some styles are going to look baggy regardless.
Lily has a pair of Ouch pants that are a size 2 that are a pretty good fit, but they're an old style now, so I'm not sure what the cut on them is like now. I have bought Moppit shorts and found them definitely small fitting and good for slim toddlers; but many people would consider them a bit exie. Apart from that I've never really bought her pants, she does have some hand me downs from Pumpkin Patch in 2s and 3s that are stretch denim and supposed to a lot tighter fitting than they are on her; they're probably about 4 seasons old though.
Lucky you have two pairs that will fit on their way, huh

Definately adjustable waists. Otherwise I have to make clothes for Brandon - or take the elastic in.

Oh yeah Tikki

I went op-shopping today and found a pair of PP size 1 that long enough to cover her legs, and a pair of Target size 0 that can be worn as 3/4 length. Both cost me $10 so not too bad

You're quite right Tikki. I noticed today that a lot of size 3 pants look a little smaller than size 1&2 but heaps longer.

had the same problem here.
in summer i could still put ainsley in size 0 around the waist and that was ok because it was shorts or 3/4 but now its winter it is adjustable waists and elastic belts-------------they do up like a normal belt but the actual belt part is elastic so they can pull there pants up and down***FANASTIC*****
but i have no idea where to get them from, i got mine from a little kids boutique when byron was 2 so 4 yrs ago lol
some help huh?
i also think leggings under skirts the waist band under the skirt adds bulk and the leggings tend to be small enough.
good luck

In Target there are 2 different size 1's and 2's. Ones in the baby section are way too big but if you look in the little girls section (sizes 1-6 I think?) they are much trimmer, like they're not designed to have nappies underneath. They generally have the adjustable waists too
Otherwise Pumpkin Patch, but again, steer clear of the 18-24 months size and find the trimmer size 2's.

We had the same problem with Harry. I only ever buy pants that have adjustable elastic now
