Thanks

They went pretty well generally. Emma (5) vomited once when we went through some turbulence. On the next leg I gave her some children's Dramamine just in case, but she didn't have any other problems. Both kids slept more than I thought they would. The in-flight entertainment (personal screens on most legs) was invaluable, as was bringing some snacks of my own (more for Emma than Alastair, she's a very fussy eater, but hungry kids generally equal grumpy kids IME).

Getting the bulkhead row was a huge plus since Alastair was under 2 but far too big to have constantly on my lap! The one leg where we didn't get it was a bit of a challenge- I couldn't eat my meal cos I couldn't fit the tray down with him there (in the bulkhead he stood on the other side of the tray and helped me eat). When he slept I actually laid him down on the floor in front of our seats, with blanket and pillow, which was a HUGE relief (NOTE: this may not technically be allowed, but no flight attendants were bothered by it on our flights- he was far too big for the bassinet BTW).

Well done, and I hope it was a great trip!

I was also shocked at how children's juices in England have artificial sweeteners in them!!! I think the brand was Juice pops or something, they look like they are quite natural, but then when you check the ingredients they have aspartame. And they are the most widely drunk juice by the looks of things.

Well done!

I'm wondering myself how I can do it for three months.

Thanks for the tips, hopefully I'm as stubborn as you LOL
