Trip in car, which nappy is best to travel in?

G'day,
I thought that I might ask the lovely ladies on here which nappy is best to travel in. The car trip is around 3.5 hours long and my options are;
BBH bamboo with PUL cover
BBH bamboo with wool cover or wool soaker
Mandy macs nappy with wool or PUL cover
BBH magic-all
I read somewhere that wool is only effective when you have good ventilation, so I'm guessing it would be no good in a car? But I read that before DD (now almost 1year old) was born and the details are a little hazy- LOL...
Any suggestions?

Out of those choices I would go with the Beehinds bamboo with a PUL cover.

I agree with Donna

Wool cover may leave the seat damp and the magicall being microfibre inner might give you compression leaks.

Mandy macs should be fine too....depends how much your little one wees and if you stop for a change I guess

I agree too. We leave Zevulun in wool covers though without issue (he doesn't deal well with lack of breathability).

We use wool in the car with no probs on 2+ hour car trips. I always use a bamboo nappy for car trips.
I would go with the BBH bamboo with wool or PUL.

Most of the trip is highway, with little to no place to stop , but if we get into trouble we will have to go off course. From your responses I think BBH bamboo & PUL would be ok, but if we find that doesn't work I'll use wool on the return trip. It's nice to know wool does work in the car, as it usually means the nappy can stay on for a little longer. Thankyou once again for all of your replies,

for our 4 weeks on the rod we did fleece inner/PUL outer pocket with bamboo inserts, specifically Pea Pods. Quick to dry since I was mostly washing when we set up camp/side of the road, kept Zeke dry with the inner, no compression issues and he was comfortable.
I could add an extra insert if I knew it would be a long one before stops (ie nights, during the day for nap time etc). For nights I did PP with bamboo inserts PLUS wool cover (same as at home with our PP or FB). Never a drop astray so I was happy.

I seem to get compression leaks with EVERYTHING but at the moment, if Marty needs a long time or car trip day nappy, I'll use the BBB with a PUL cover AND a trifold or booster between the nappy and the cover. Seems to work ok however needs big pants.

The trip went really well, thankyou for all of your suggestions. I used the BBH bamboo & PUL cover with success. SHe was very wet on arrival, but we managed a stop on the way down & on the way back. One on the way down to see an elderly relative that couldn't make it to Jessica's birthday/baptism & once on the way back at a servo/truck stop... got to say though that truck stop didn't make it easy. When will pp realise that a nappy change area should have a little more that a bench in it??? It didn't even face the right way & no straps!! GRRRR.
