i find with the long drives some sort of stay dry is needed - like a liner or a pocket with stay dry inner. keeps them more comfy.

you can do it! there are washing machines and dryers EVERYWHERE!

I have travelled in WA, camped in Vic and stayed with relatives in Sydney all in cloth and it was fine. Pockets for sure - especially microfibre inserts - they dry fast. Also flats - and we are very happy with our flats folded in bummis wraps - use them all the time.

You won't have a problem, but you may be wise to wash everyday or two if you can.

bumping this OLD thread up - in a months time we are driving to surfers*gulp*lots of rest stops...and planning on doing the same but kane has more FIT issues than bree ever did
im just trialing a pad folded flanny flat in a pul cover (awesome medium bluegum baby from ali) - its front snap but fits him snugly.
too scared to use a fleece cover in the car
might try my itti bitti inserts in it too, since kane gets his tummy cut in half in those but loose at the waist on the back with the itti outers - weird proportioned boy!! (he fits sidesnaps best - cmooon sue i NEED a SS itti :)
what else should i try??

Moved this thread to the travel forum (now that we have one)!

I'm so out of the loop now Joh, but since we have so much more choice these days, I'm sure you will find the perfect combo for him!

I was looking at this thread thinking to myself "wow, Lucretia...haven't seen her in ages" (I bought a dress and nappy set from her and wonder what she's doing every time DD wears it).
I'm glad I read the last 2 posts cause I wouldn't have looked at the date!
There's so much more choice now Joh - you'll just have to do some shopping after the recommendations.
