Default driving holiday/snow/cloth

Ok am i crazy considering using cloth on our up-coming holiday?
i really h@te the thought of disposables now!
I want to use cloth, but i think it's gonna take alot of planning
so far, the only holidays we've done using cloth has been an hour away at our shack, which has a washing machine
we are driving from SA to vic, to go to melbourne and the snow.
staying in motels on the way/way back, etc.
hmmmm. maybe pockets? we will be doing abit of driving....maybe i should get some bummi's covers and just pad fold flanelette flats??
what would you do?!help!!!

I'm taking cloth when I go to India later this year, but it is a bit different because there is no washing machines and everything needs to be hand washed anyway

I figured:
  • a few soakers and longies lanolised before I go would cover the most of it and then they don't need to be washed (unless they get poo on them)
  • a bummis cover or two
  • a few snappies
  • some napisan or somehting like that because washing powder is pretty crap there and I will want something to soak them in during the day
  • wet bag

forgot
  • an AIO or two
  • 20 or less terries
  • training pants?? (if DS is tt then)
  • maybe a few disposables for the plane
even though it seems like a bit, it will be much easier and less to carry then disposables

different context, but HTH

Big wetbag!!! motels should have access to washer/dryer.

i'd go the pockets, I actually used cloth travelling from Vic to Adelaide for 10 days but i used fitteds and aios cos we didn't have any pockets.

when we camp i've used eenee pouch pockets with trifolds and half terries~ quick drying but pockets are probably better.

You can borrow my pockets/stuffers if you need more I have, umm, 8 left I think. Mostly SBs and GKs.

I haven't travelled with cloth myself. Only holiday we've taken was when Kaia was two to NZ and I used disposables
