i realised and deleted it before i downloaded it (love you mailwasher!). now i have a nice email from tina apologising

What is happening is that people's email accounts are being hacked into and email sent to everyone in their address book (in groups because there are sometimes limits on how many people you can cc on an email). Just delete it.

Someone appears to have hacked into my gmail email account.
Everyone who I ave emailed in the past as been sent spam appearing to come from me.
It is not.
I am very sorry.
Dh said its not a virus (he is an IT geek ) its just that my password was too easy, and
someone hacked my account by running a brute force password cracker (it goes through a list of dictionary words automatically).
So apologies to anyone who thinks I am trying to sell them stuff from my apparent chinese electrical site

I got the Tina one too... I felt very special but also deleted it from mailwasher

When you get spam from yourself, and sometimes when its come from others, it's usually "spoofed" which means its not that someone has hacked into the account and is sending from there - they can just pretend it's been sent from you by putting your e-mail address as the "from" even if its not from you.
